Fundamentals of Pipe Flow

The study of fluid flow in pipes may well be traced back to Hero of Alexandria, the Greek historian, in his Dioptra in the second century B.C., gave the earliest known expression of the relationship between cross-sectional area, velocity, volume and time.

In this book an attempt is made to summarize the most important result that are available in the field of fluid flow in pipes. Also this book is written primarily as a reference work for practicing engineers (mechanical, chemical, aeronautical, and civil) and scientists whose main field of endeavor is not necessarily pipe flow. It is also believed that the book will serve as a text for courses in fluid mechanics and gas dynamics, at both the graduate and the undergraduate levels.
